We are now accepting applications for marine science field graduates who have a PADI divemaster or instructor certification for the "Safety Diver/Shark Researcher" position



Applicants will be responsible for assisting in research and creating projects to further OneOceanDiving's conservation message. The program will help you develop field work experience, further your skills in research, and increase your ability to organize and initiate projects on your own. You will also gain in-water experience with sharks. Interns positions also available for our Sea turtle program May-September

As a research intern there are several projects you can participate in defending o your interests and skill set. Educational outreach through social media is one of the main ways we educate and promote our citizen scientist based research program. We request that you do at least one social media post per day if you are in the office. We also have a bi-weeklt blog on our website where we explore current developments in the shark conservation community, share petitions with a writeup including more information about the issue, ongoing research projects, and new shark ID's that you are welcome to contribute to. Another ongoing projects assisting law enforcement with illegal shark catches using social media and communicating with officials to ensure the regulations are being enforced. You can also help with organizing upcoming reef and beach cleanups, or assisting with education outreach presentations. We are also open to any of your ideas on potential projects you might be interested in taking the lead on and helping to establish.



Must be enrolled in a biological science, zoology, conservation, or related degree or media degree.

CPR/First Aid Certified

Exceptional ocean swimming ability

**Priority given to applicants in a masters program, post grad, or undergrads in their 3rd or 4th year with desire to work with pelagics.
