What to Expect
Pelagic Shark, Whale and Honu Program
Our Pelagic Programs start when you board one of One Ocean Divingʻs research and dive vessels. Pono Kai, Mano Kai or Koa Kai all have large white or blue block letters saying "ONE OCEAN DIVING" on the side. Mano Kai is a silver vessel with a blue canopy; Pono Kai is a blue and white vessel with a blue canopy and Koa Kai is a white catamaran. Our boats will dock at the commercial loading zone of Haleiwa Harbor (closest to Haleiwa Joe's Restaurant) near the white scaffolding/fish scale. Our trips are 2 hours long and consists of a highly educational presentation on your way out to the natural aggregation site where you will learn about shark biology, behavior, research and how to safely interact with sharks! You will then get in the water with your safety diver where you will experience first hand how beautiful and amazing these animals really are. We believe you will walk away with a new found respect for sharks and will want to #speakupforsharks to help save them!
Take a look at our map below or go to our "Find the Boat" page to find specifics on where to meet us!
